A large number of students seek out our Academy year after year to learn about the ancient techniques of Ayurveda. Somatheeram Ayurveda Academy has been very successful in training these individuals to a high standard as they then branch out making the benefits and scope of Ayurveda known to the world.

Ayurveda is a vast subject with many elements being passed down from generation to generation over thousands of years, our courses focus on specific areas allowing students to hone their skills and develop a deeper understanding. Some of the courses on offer are detailed here:

Eligibility: The courses are available to all, with keen interest in learning the natural therapy. Limited seats are offered in order to maintain quality and attention given to each student.

Inclusion: Course, specimens, equipments, infrastructure including medicated oils for practice.

Certification: Certificates are issued from Somatheeram Ayurveda Academy at the end of the course. The Academy is affiliated to Bharat Sevak Samaj or BSS – A National Development Agency that directs regulations for Ayurveda Therapy

Language:English is the major medium. German, French, Italian, Spanish, Arabic and Russian interpreters are available.

Accommodation during course:You may choose to live in Ayursoma or any other property from the wide range offered by the Somatheeram Group. Tariff will be available during booking.

“ Basic Panchakarma (Course Code: BPK01) ”
  • Involves detoxification of the body using five processes --Vamana (induced vomiting), Virechana (purgation), Basti (medicated enema), Nasya (herbal application through nostrils) and Raktamokshana (bloodletting).
  • Duration: 45 hrs /20 days

“Intensive Massage (Course Code: IMS04)”
  • Procedure for the body to get toned, stimulated, relaxed and relieved of pain.
  • Duration: 40 hrs/20 days

“Basic Massage (Course Code: BMS07) ”
  • Basic massage to improve blood circulation, repair worn-out tissues and eliminate toxins along with other benefits.
  • Duration: 20 hrs/10 days
  • Fee: Euro 1000*
“Marma Massage (Course Code: MMS02)”
  • Focus is on ‘Marma’, these vital points control the functioning of the whole body through concentrated energy.
  • Massaging appropriate Marma points can help correct several conditions and problems pertaining to the body as it encourages energy flow restoring balance to the doshas.

“Foot Massage (Course Code: FMS03)”
  • Similar to Marma massage, foot massage is carried out using feet.
  • Helps in revitalizing the body, increasing flexibility and maintaining health.

“Head Massage (Course Code: HMS09)”
  • Massaging the scalp, hair, neck, shoulder and arms using special herbal oils and massaging techniques.

  • Facial muscles are freed of stress and strain, thereby toning the skin and arresting wrinkles.

Course duration is estimated and this can be altered on request of the student. All courses are supervised by appropriately qualified doctors who are recognized as experts in the field.

All equipment plus oils, herbal treatments or other remedies required for demonstration of the techniques are provided within the course fee.

Students successfully completing a course will receive a certificate of accreditation from The Somatheeram School of Ayurveda.
